Russ Eacker

  Russ Eacker

The founder of the group, Russ plays the bass fiddle, is one of the group's two yodelers, and does all the vocal arrangements.  Before moving to Utah and starting up the Bar G Wranglers, Russ was a member of the "Bar J Wranglers" in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the "Sons & Daughters of the West" in Northern California.

 Layne Benson

One of the original members of the group, Layne plays lead guitar and sings lead in most of the trio arrangements.  He was the 1999 Utah State flat-pickin’ champion on the guitar and does the musical arrangements for the group.  He was a founding member of the very popular “Virgin River Band” that toured throughout the southwest in the 1990’s.

   Pete McMillan

"Mulee" Pete is one of the original members of the Bar G Wranglers.  He sings baritone, plays rhythm guitar, and does a great pre-show, fancy gun-spinning routine that excites those in the crowd of all ages. He is also a quick-draw artist and has won several competitions throughout the west.
